Remember

Jordan, 2009 single-channel video and intervention in public space DV-pal, 4:3, colour, stereo, 1'00'' Exhibition: 2009 THERE, solo exhibition in Makan House, Amman, Jordan The intervention and video Remember was a transformation of the mural 'No Member' into 'Remember'. Early 2009 the mural had been on a wall in the centre of Amman for almost two years and no one knew exactly who did the piece. I was artist-in-residence in Makan House at the time and thought the text was negative. There were people who thought it annoying. I decided to transform the words into a more positive one that radiates comtemporary history of this region of the world: Remember.
